Mr. Antoine Grondeau, from France, took these photos of this F/A-18 on display at the Pax River Naval Air Museum. www.wingshots.online.fr F/A-18 Hornet BuNo 161353, entered fleet service in June 1981 and was assigned to VFA-125 (Fleet Training Squadron) based at NAS Lemoore. After fours years with VFA-125 it was transferred to Patuxent River and arrived in March 1986. This aircraft played a significant roll for ordinance evaluation work and night vision goggle testing. 161353 was then assigned to the Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron and was flown by the Blue Angels between March 1990 and September 1991. The aircraft was retired to the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola and was assigned on loan to Patuxent River in August 1993. It was approved as a display aircraft for the Naval Air Test and Evaluation Museum in August 1994 and joined museum aircraft in September 1996.This aircraft used by the Blues.
