The Bearcat is an F8F-2. It was built in 1948, accepted by the Navy on 11 Nov., and delivered to NAS Alameda on 2 Dec. After assignment to a number of Navy bases in the U.S., it was placed in storage in 1953. Lone Star Flight Museum obtained it from storage in Quantico in 1997. |
